This piece is made from stoneware clay. Once dry it is off to the kiln for it's first round of firing.
Once bisque fired, I hand paint each layer of glaze. Each one differs and is unique in it's character.
Then into the kiln for it's next firing. Then I attach it to a wax coated cotton string. This pendant also has a beautiful mosaic turquoise bead. The closure is just a knot. You can put it over head easily and adjust the length as wanted.
