Flower Stamped Ceramic Earrings

This piece is made from stoneware clay. Once dry it is off to the kiln for it's first round of firing. 

Once bisque fired, I hand paint it's design. Each one differs and is unique in it's character. Then I glaze over the the design. Each ceramic piece takes multiple layers of glaze which I hand paint on each piece so that I have control over coverage and placement. 

Then into the kiln for it's next firing. Then I attach all the earring details. This pair also has  wire wrapped semi precious gemstone beads.

Mushrooms symbolize good luck, longevity, energy, transformation, and enlightenment.
