Selkie Earrings

These earrings are made with stoneware clay, slab rolled, cut, shaped, smoothed and then a design is pressed into the clay. They are set aside to dry slowly and then put into the kiln for their first firing. 

Once cooled and now in a bisque state, they are hand painted with multiple layers of various glazes, on both sides so you have a smooth glossy finish. Back into the kiln for their second and final firing. 

Once cooled, I like to think of it as them speaking to me. They have their own personality and energy... their own magic to share. So I listen and pair them with semi precious gemstones that I hand wrap with wire and adorn them with a starfish charm. 

They are ready to adorn your ears and combine their magic with your own. 

I have paired this set with peridot and jade. 

Peridot is good for getting rid of negative patterns to allow room for new growth. It brings renewal and protection.

Jade was viewed as a sacred stone. It brings protection, helps with meditation, self confidence and realizing ones potential.
